Sankofa

Sankofa logo

Sankofa, coming from the Ghanaian proverb of looking back to your past to bring understanding to your future, is the African and African American Studies Registered Student Organization (RSO).  The purpose of Sankofa is to provide a social outlet for the program as well as to connect the program's students with the community.  All students are invited to join Sankofa.  You do not have to be a declared minor/major in African and African American Studies.  Events include participating in community service, membership drives, discussions with faculty members, and Ghana Study Abroad Reflection.
