Graduate Student Research and Career Support

Research Support

Most department graduate students are supported through Teaching Assistantships available on a competitive basis.  Research Assistantships may be available from individual faculty with extramural funding.  Graduate students are encouraged to explore NSF graduate awards and doctoral dissertation improvement grants.

The Graduate School at the University of Arkansas offers assistance with finding potential funding sources, proposal preparation and submission, as well as information on compliance issues and committees.  For more information please go to the Graduate School's  Graduate Student Financial Support page or their homepage at grad.uark.edu/graduate.

Career Support

The Fulbright Career Communities webpage offers assistance with narrowing down students' career possibilities and refines their skills. For more information, visit the Fulbright Advising Center's Career Communities page.
