Undergraduate

Do you enjoy tackling problems whose solution requires mathematics? Have a talent for mathematics, and do you want to expand your knowledge of the subject? Are you interested in learning how things work, and then explaining what you have learned to others?

If you answered "yes'' to one or more of these questions, you should consider majoring in mathematics.

Mathematical Sciences offers a diverse and engaging program, with over 50 undergraduate mathematics and statistics courses to chose from, and three student organizations: the Math ClubArkansas Women in Statistics and Mathematics, and the student chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.

The program, with about 120 majors, is large enough to provide breadth and perspective, yet small enough to give each student the opportunity for one-on-one interaction with our faculty.

Math majors have gone on to become successful professionals in a number of exciting career paths.

Contact undergraduate coordinator Professor Paolo Mantero to set up an appointment to discuss your plans.
