Premedical Advisory Committee
The Premedical Advisory Committee (PMAC) evaluates all applicants from the University of Arkansas to any medical school
The PMAC is composed of approximately 15 faculty members from various departments. The composition may change slightly from year to year, but many members have had years of experience serving on the committee.
The PMAC evaluates application materials and interviews all applicants
For each applicant requesting a letter of evaluation, the committee considers the academic record, personal letters of recommendation, character and motivation, interpersonal skills, leadership, extenuating circumstances regarding any negative factor in the application, and other information available to committee members. These factors will be evaluated based on application materials, and on an interview each candidate will have with two members of the PMAC on campus.
