The Art Department offers several scholarships and awards. Most of these are awarded on the basis of the work submitted at the spring prize competition, usually held in early March. To be eligible, you must be a currently enrolled art major. These amounts and all details are subject to change.
To be considered for an award, each applicant must obtain a data sheet from the art department office, turning it into the office by the deadline. Works will be presented for faculty jury and will be displayed in assigned rooms from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students must have their work up and ready for review by 11:00 a.m. and must pick up the work promptly afterwards. Students may display up to 10 works.
Art in Rome Award. Supports studies in Rome, Italy.
Bedford Camera Prize and Collier Photo Prize. Bedford Camera awards $125 in photo supplies/services, while Collier Photo gives $100 in photo supplies and services. No restrictions.
