Leah began working in Fulbright College Advising Center in February 2017. As an academic advisor, she works primarily with first-year students of all majors, as well as upperclass students studying biology, chemistry, and geosciences. While pursuing her Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University in Family in Community Services and a minor in Art, she changed her major several times. Following graduation, she worked in the areas of health and then business, and ultimately learned that her heart lies in education, working with students. Her journey in various academic and professional pursuits allowed her to deeply appreciate the value of a liberal arts education, and her experiences provide a desire to help her students determine their individualized interests and goals.
Leah recently completed a Master's of Education in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas, and with her new-found free time, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs exploring NWA, traveling, reading, and just relaxing.
