Law Student EmergencyFund

The Law Student Emergency Fund was established to assist University of Arkansas School of Law students who are experiencing a financial emergency due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control which could hinder their ability to continue in school.

The number of students who can be served by the Law Student Emergency Fund is subject to the availability of funds which are sustained by contributions from alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of the School of Law.

Generally, awards do not exceed $500. The committee will review application requests in excess of $500 for rare and compelling circumstances. Applicants may be required to meet with the senior associate dean for students to discuss their application.

NOTE: If you currently receive financial aid, please be aware that additional assistance through the Law Student Emergency Fund may affect your future aid packages, and funds received may be taxed as income.

HogSync - U of A Cares Student EmergencyFund

Students must be enrolled in May intersession or summer 2020 classes in order to be eligible for this fund.

The Purpose of the U of A Cares Emergency Fund is to assist University of Arkansas students with short-term emergencies.  These funds are not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a consistent supplement. 

Emergency situations could include, but are not limited to: death or serious illness of a parent, spouse or child, housing fire/ flood, or other extenuating circumstances.  This fund cannot be used to provide tuition support.

Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry

A student led emergency food assistance program, striving to serve clients with balanced meals through non-perishables and fresh produce from our own garden. Dedicated to nourishing bodies, empowering minds, and creating a community of compassion. We serve anyone with a U of A or UAMS ID and their household: Students, staff and faculty, as well as temporary or hourly employees. We provide a three day supply of groceries and personal care items, up to two times per week, for the entire household.
