Fulbright Advising Center
Sarah E. Simers joined the Fulbright College Advising Center in March 2012 as an academic counselor. She came to the center having taught and tutored entry-level American history courses for over 2 years at the University of Arkansas. Sarah is the current advisor for Political Science students and part of the Advising Lab team, so she spends her days on the advising tasks she most enjoys: exploring internships and study abroad opportunities, and helping students find immediate answers to questions in the advising lab.
An Honors College graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Sarah received her BA in history, with double minors in writing and rhetoric, and interdisciplinary studies in 2006. She completed her MA in history at the University of Arkansas in 2008, and has since published articles in the Encyclopedia of Arkansas and the Pulaski County Historical Review.
Sarah's hobbies include practicing yoga, eating bacon, running, eating chocolate ice cream, kayaking/floating, eating grilled foods, and spending time with friends, family, her boyfriend Peter, and their pets.
