Fulbright Advising Center
Teresa has been with the Fulbright College Advising Center since 2006 and with the University of Arkansas since 1995. As Associate Director for the Fulbright College Advising Center, Teresa is responsible for managing and coordinating the administrative policy updates for the Center as well as enrollment and course override procedures for Fulbright online programs.
As a native of Northwest Arkansas, the University of Arkansas Razorback Traditions are vitally important to her. Having received her BA in Communication in 2004 and an MA in Communication in 2007 from the University of Arkansas, Teresa truly believes in the “students first” mission of the University. “Every student is an asset to our campus and our community. It is my job to give each student the tools s/he needs to be successful and to reach her/his potential.”
Teresa is a published author with interests in Communication and Gender Studies. Additionally, she has been a member of the ArkAAN (Arkansas Academic Advising Network) Executive Board since 2010 and has been a member of ArkAAN and NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) since 2006 and a member of NISTS (National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students) since 2014.
Teresa's hobbies include reading, traveling, and life-long learning. She is an avid reader and collector of books from any genre. She also loves to travel and has been to 5 different countries to date. Teresa believes that education is extremely important and any opportunity to learn new information or a new skill should be seized. Helping students learn to appreciate these opportunities, and watching them open new doors through these opportunities, is what she loves most about advising.
