My lab is interested in understanding how bacterial cells and their molecular systems respond to various environments, particularly to hostile conditions. We are interested in fundamental research as well as in research that has biotechnological, environmental, and biomedical applications. To study the molecular and cellular physiology of bacteria, we utilize multidisciplinary approaches across the fields of microbiology, molecular biology, omics (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics), bioinformatics, molecular genetics, and biochemistry.
