B. Jared Pack is a PhD Candidate in History. His dissertation, “Special Relationships: Anglo-American Latin America Policy and the Redefining of National Security, 1969-1982” examines the coordination, converge, and divergence of Anglo-American foreign policy with regard to Latin America’s Southern Cone region from 1969-1982. His work also challenges prevailing notions of how the United States and Great Britain defined and utilized the idea of national security as policy justification for intervention in peripheral areas. His expected completion date is May 2019.
