Michael is a second year PhD student in History. He received his B.A. in History & Political Science, Magna Cum Laude at the University of Florida in 2010. In 2012, he received his M.A. in History at Clemson University with a thesis entitled "From Confederate Expatriates to New South Neo-Filibusters: Major Edward A. Burke and the Americas." He aims to continue to research the relationship between the U.S. South and the Americas under Dr. Daniel Sutherland.
