Become a Journalism major in three easy steps!

First, apply to the University by going to the home page for U of A Admissions and follow directions.

Declare

In following the application process, you will have the opportunity to declare Journalism or Advertising and Public Relations as your major. If you choose not to declare a major right away, you can apply as “undeclared” in the Fulbright College. You will automatically be placed in Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences as an “undeclared major.” You can then declare – or change – a major at any time.

Students can declare their major by making an appointment the Fulbright College Advising Center

 


Three

Choose Your Path

In your meeting with your Fulbright College advisor, you declare Journalism or Advertising and Public Relations as your major. If you select Journalism as your major, you will designate your concentration as Broadcast, Journalism, or Multimedia Storytelling and Production. Your advisor will complete forms regarding your journalism sequence request.
