2020 Color Guard Information

Hello!

You are receiving this e-mail because you are either a current Razorback Marching Band Guard member or have registered for our 2020 auditions.   For those of you who don't know me, my name is Trey Antonetti and 2020 will be my eleventh season serving as coordinator for the RMB Guard.

I wanted to touch base with you all and update you regarding how auditions will work this year.  We're all having to adjust our typical procedures right now, and with the University limiting in-person instruction and interactions, we will be transitioning all auditions to video auditions.  While Skyler, our assistant coordinator, and I will miss having the opportunity to interact with you all in person, we feel that this is the best way to proceed.

If there is a silver lining to all of this, it's that we spend a lot of each season learning via video anyway, so this process will just get you that much more prepared for how choreography is delivered during the season for when things return to "normal."    Attached you'll find a list of steps and instructions to ensure you receive the necessary information and are prepared to submit your videos when the time comes.

Finally, before I let you go, I want to say that I know many of you are dealing with major changes to your senior year of high school, and/or your collegiate experience right now.  I know some of you may not have access to equipment or have may limited resources due to school closures.  I also know some of you may be facing obstacles that take a higher precedent than preparing for this audition.

Please let me be clear that while we do need to follow as close to a normal protocol for auditions as possible, we will be as flexible as we can be to ensure that any student, whether they be an incoming freshman or upcoming senior, has the opportunity to be a part of the team next year.

I ask that you keep me informed of your situation, keep the lines of communication open, and let's all be as positive and as flexible as we can be while navigating through this!

If you have any questions about this process or the RMB Guard in general, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your interest, enthusiasm, and support!  Cannot wait for the first Hog Call of the season!  WPS!

-Trey
