Overview: 

Join Christopher Knighten and the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble for a conducting workshop featuring Steven D. Davis, University of Missouri- Kansas City Conservatory Director of Bands and Wind Ensembles. Designed for instrumental music educators, graduate conducting students, and undergraduate music education majors, this two-day symposium allows twelve participants two opportunities to conduct the University of Arkansas Wind Ensemble and receive conducting feedback from Steven D. Davis and University of Arkansas conducting faculty.

Professional Development:

The University of Arkansas Bands is excited to partner with the Arkansas Department of Education to offer up to ten hours of professional development at no additional cost to registered participants. Friday’s sessions total four hours of PD and Saturday’s sessions are an additional six hours.

Submission of Materials:

Conducting Participant positions are limited to twelve applicants.  Selection of applicants will be based on resume and postmark. 
Applications will be accepted starting November 13.
