S. Michael Shuman currently teaches voice and the Diction for Singers sequence.

Beginning at UA in 2006, he has been involved in several ensembles including directing and playing for the Opera Theatre, teaching vocal literature, and playing for numerous ensembles (Schola Cantorum, Women’s Chorus, Men’s Chorus, Concert Choir, Master Chorale, and Collegiate Chorale), recitals, and lessons.

An active musician, he can be heard as a singer, pianist, organist, and conductor in the NW Arkansas region with schools, choirs, soloists, and theatre groups.

Shuman received the Master of Music Degree in Conducting from the University of Arkansas and the Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He also holds the Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance and Vocal Performance from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS.
