Field Program

The Field Education Program affords students the opportunity to integrate theoretical classroom knowledge, social work values and skills with actual work experiences in agency settings while under the supervision of a licensed social worker. The Field Education Program consists of faculty and staff, as well as social workers in the community committed to providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate practice skills, knowledge, and values that are consistent with the mission, goals and objectives of the School of Social Work through professional enrichment at internships. BSW students complete 220 hours of internship per semester, for two semesters. MSW students enrolled in the two-year program are required to complete 990 hours of internship over three semesters. MSW students in the Advanced Standing program are required to complete 900 hours of internship over three semesters.
