Dr. Brandon Crawford is a Research Assistant Professor in Sociology and Criminal Justice, an affiliated faculty with the Center for Social Research, and an affiliate faculty with the Sexuality Education and Consent Studies (SECS) Research Lab at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Crawford studies the measurement of attitudes towards controversial social issues. His work also focuses on the relationship between child maltreatment, child welfare experiences, and adverse life events throughout the life-course, the role of parent gender in child welfare agency's decision making, and sexual assault on college campuses. He has experience using complex survey designs for the analysis of weighted data and experience conducting interviews and focus-groups. Crawford has served as lead statistician and evaluator on three federal grants for Oklahoma's Office of Performance Outcomes and Accountability (formerly Office of Planning, Research, and Statistics). As part of this work, he led in the design, implementation, and evaluation of multiple interventions focused on improving outcomes in the domains of health, social well-being, and criminality. Dr. Crawford has a Ph.D. in Sociology with doctoral minors in quantitative analysis and criminology from the University of Oklahoma.
