Fulbright College Humanities Colloquium Faculty Series
Dr. Erika Almenara, assistant professor of Spanish, will be the featured presenter in the Fulbright College Humanities Colloquium Faculty Series.
During her presentation, Almenara will discuss "Towards a Conceptualization of Memory after the Destruction of the Self: Sobre el don de pardoner by José Carlos Aguero and Blood of the Dawn by Claudia Salazar." She will examine Peruvian literature that casts critical eyes at official representations of a 1980s armed conflict that cost more than 69,000 lives.
The Humanities Faculty Colloquium Series is open to faculty and graduate students. The series provides opportunities for intensive intellectual exchange and collaboration across disciplines.
