The Department of Biological Sciences welcomes new faculty member, Dr. Adam Paré:

Dr. Adam ParéDr. Adam Paré holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and he completed his B.S. in Biology at Cornell University.  He comes to the University of Arkansas from the Developmental Biology Program at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York, NY where he was a Postdoctoral Researcher.  His research is focused on uncovering novel mechanisms that shape tissues during development.  More specifically, he is using the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster to determine how body-axis information is encoded at the cell surface to organize and control tissue shape and behavior during embryonic development.
