Associate Professor, Broadcast Journalism and Head of Broadcast Sequence. BA in Speech (R/TV)- Northwest Missouri State University; MA in Journalism-Kansas State University. Worked as a radio DJ, Sports Director and News Reporter at radio stations in Missouri, Iowa, Arizona, Colorado and Washington, DC. Came to the University of Arkansas in 1980 and in 1985 built KUAF-91.3FM, the university’s 100,000 watt NPR station. Operated this professional public radio station as General Manager until August 2019, then returned to full-time teaching and writing in the Journalism School.
