Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is a spring semester ensemble of 60-70 musicians selected by audition. The ensemble’s membership consists of music majors as well as talented students from other academic disciplines in the university community. Exploring traditional wind band repertoire, transcriptions, and contemporary works, the group performs two concerts during the spring semester. The Symphonic Band enjoys the reputation of being a group of wind and percussion students committed to performances of excellence.

  • Spring Semester Only, M 4:10-5:00 and T/TH 4:00-4:50

Symphonic Band is listed as MUEN 1511, 2511, 3511, 4511, 4811, 5511.  Freshmen enroll in the 1000 level, sophomores in the 2000 level, etc.

Audition Information

Auditions for the spring semester are scheduled during the two weeks prior to the end of the fall semester.
