New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation

Welcome to Your Fulbright College Meeting

Onboarding in Workday: Please set up your student account in Workday and complete the Onboarding Task.  You will not be able to sign up for classes until this task is complete.

Parents: What to Expect and Bring to your College Meeting

To build student independence and give space for students to make connections with other students – parents and their guests will be separated during the College Meeting. Parents will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Shane Barker our Assistant Dean of Academics. There they will get the answers to the questions submitted via a QR Code before lunch and learn more about how to support their student.

After the Guest presentation with Dr. Barker guests are encouraged to explore campus, visit other offices or relax in the air conditioned Giffels Auditorium in Old Main.

College Meeting Schedule

11:45 Students are dismissed from Union Ballroom to head to Old Main for their College Meeting

12:30-2:30 Students go through their College Meeting Sessions

2:30-4:30 Students meet with academic advisors to register for classes and make changes to their schedules

*Please be aware that your student could be making changes to their schedule until 4:30. It is best to plan any travel for after 4:30*

Understanding your Pre-Enrolled Schedule

Admissions sent out a survey to students in February asking for test scores and what credit students were expecting to come in with. Advisors then took that information and build students a schedule that is accordance with their major. At NSO students are able to make changes to this schedule depending on availability of classes.

We look forward to seeing you this summer!

Note: If you have not already, please register for New Student Orientation and check your email regularly.  During orientation you will meet with an advisor to review and edit your class schedule.
