The University of Arkansas Schola Cantorum has a long and illustrious history that spans more than 50 years and includes performances for President Kennedy, appearances on national television, and concerts in some of the world’s great venues. The choir tours nationally and internationally giving approximately 10 concerts each academic year and performing choral masterworks spanning 1,000 years of the choral canon. Membership is highly selective, but includes undergraduate and graduate students from every college on campus and represents more than 20 majors.

Schola Cantorum is listed as MUEN 1451, 2451, 3451, 4451, 4651, 5451. Freshmen enroll in the 1000 level, sophomores in the 2000 level, etc.
All those interested in singing with the Schola Cantorum are required to audition during the first three days of class at the beginning of the fall semester. Sign up for a time slot to schedule an audition. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board outside of MUSC 335 a week before the first day of classes. Singers will need to prepare the music at the link below, in their respective voice part. The audition takes approximately 10 minutes.
