All those interested in singing with the Schola Cantorum are required to audition during the first three days of class of the fall semester. Sign-up sheets will be posted on the bulletin board outside of MUSC 335 a week before the first day of classes. For Fall 2023, singers should prepare the following excerpt on for your voice part. The audition takes approximately 15 minutes. Scholarships are available and will be considered based upon a successful ensemble placement audition. 2023 Audition Excerpt

Auditions for Inspirational Chorale (Section One) are approximately 10 minutes long with Dr. Murdock. In preparation for the audition, students are expected to prepare the following:

• Students should prepare about 30 seconds of a pop, Broadway, or Gospel tune of their choice and prepare to sing it a cappella.
• Students will be expected to sight-read a single line of sheet music with accuracy and musicality.
• Students may be required to complete a series of pitch matching excercises.
