Inclusive Excellence Scholarship
About the scholarship:
The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize undergraduate students majoring in a discipline in Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas who aspire to achieve academic excellence and contribute to a transformative educational environment. The selection of recipients of this award shall be the responsibility of the Fulbright College Inclusive Excellence Dean’s Office Committee. Selection of recipients will be in accordance with the following criteria:
- Recipients must be enrolled full time and in good academic standing in Fulbright College.
- Prospective recipients must have a high school GPA of 3.00 and current enrolled recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Recipients must contribute to an inclusive educational and/or community environment and indicate how they will continue to do so.
- Recipients must demonstrate how the scholarship will assist them with their financial needs. This scholarship is not renewed. All applicants must apply annually. All applicants are eligible to reapply.
Application Process:
Recipients must provide an essay, not to exceed 500 words, on 1.) How they have contributed to an inclusive educational and/or community environment and how they will continue to do so and 2.) How this scholarship will assist them with their financial needs.
Award:
Total Award is $1,000. The award is distributed as follows: $500 Fall Semester and $500 Spring Semester (after the 11th day of classes for each semester).
Deadline to Apply:
- February 15th
- Application is part of general college scholarship application process
