Ambassadors
Mission:
The mission of the Fulbright College Student Ambassador Program is to help provide a welcoming environment for all students, provide leadership and professional development opportunities for students, and demonstrate the values of Fulbright College.
Purpose:
Our Student Ambassadors represent various disciplines in our college and help to create a sense of belonging for all students. Our Student Ambassadors are engaged in the following:
- Assisting in recruitment efforts during college campus tours
- Sharing student experiences
- Student leadership and professional development programs
- Engaging with local experiences in the arts and sciences
- Outreach and community service
Commitment:
- Commit to 2-3 hours per week participating in Student Ambassador activities
- Demonstrate a caring attitude, commit to student success, and uphold Fulbright College values.
- Attend required trainings and regular meetings
- For college tours, Student Ambassadors are asked to wear Student Ambassador shirts.
Student Ambassador Requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate Fulbright College Student (part-time or full-time)
- Must be in good academic and judicial standing
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Interest in engaging with prospective students and their families
- Interest in helping to create a sense of belonging
- Interest in cultural competence, the arts and sciences, and community service
- The ability to work in a team environment
- The ability and desire to learn communication and leadership skills
Selection Process:
Interested students should complete an application and submit it online during open application periods. If approved, students are contacted and scheduled for an interview with the selection committee.
