Instructor Coach Focus

GUIDANCE
An Instructor Coach is a guide between students and the resources available to them on campus.

PERSISTENCE
An Instructor Coach enables students to persist from term to term and ultimately graduate.

ADVOCACY
An Instructor Coach is an advocate for the student to help them identify, organize, and prioritize their needs.

An Instructor Coach is...

At the University of Arkansas, an instructor coach is a faculty member who spends most of their time teaching (about 75%) but also sets aside dedicated time (about 25%) just for you, the student, to support your college journey.  Our instructor coaches are like personal guides, helping students find their way around campus, discover all the resources available to them, connect with groups that match their interests, and learn to speak up for one's self.
