2020 Advising

Dear Premedical Students,

As you know, we have been instructed to stop all in-person teaching, and this will apply to premedical advising as well. For the following week, we will do phone advising only, and you can sign up for an appointment here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/14-YP4dKxpFzteBdQ3nWOprrI-g6OPL-Y1bTh9LFv1gs/edit

It is likely that we must continue phone advising until the end of 2020, and if so, we will continue scheduling via the same GoogleDoc. You are always welcome to email your questions to mivey@uark.edu or jlmorten@uark.edu and we will do our best to return your queries in the order they are received.

Our U of A Premedical Advisory Committee (PMAC) process remains in place as of now, and will only change if AAMC changes deadlines or processes for the 2020 application cycle (including potential delays in MCAT tests). If you are applying this year, you will need a committee letter, and we will be able to provide you one even if social distancing stretches into the fall months.  You must adhere to previously posted deadlines and procedures: https://fulbright.uark.edu/programs/liebolt-premedical-program/admission/pmac-timeline.php. Please read more at https://fulbright.uark.edu/programs/liebolt-premedical-program/admission/index.php.

As always, we recommend that you get your COVID updates from reliable sources such as The World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/), and the Arkansas Department of Health (https://www.healthy.arkansas.gov/). And wash them hands!

Kind regards,

Your Premedical Advisors
